Clearance to Combustible Materials
2" clearance except in areas protected by factory-built supports certified for reduced clearance. EXCEL round and square supports permit the chimney to be installed with approximately 1 inch of clearance - in the area shielded by the support.

The wall channel enables you to span the gap of framing members when doing an exterior chimney install.  The wall channel is 24" long and provides a solid mount for a wall support or wall band when the chimney opening is not centered in the framing.
