Many wood inserts have problems with draw since they’re set into a
cold fireplace that’s separated from the house by a panel, trapping
cold air in the fireplace cavity.
New inserts with secondary combustion struggle to get enough
heat up the flue to create draw. The DCWI is compact enough to fit
almost all applications.
At 500 watts (4.1 amps) the DCWI will generate more than 600
degrees of heat in the flue. It’s built with high grade 304 stainless
steel for safety and durability and comes with a built-in thermostat
control that will shut the heater off once the fire is going and will
turn back on when the fire dies down.
