Long Burn Times:
The combustion system design allows for extraordinary burn times of up to 36 hours. A unique flared hopper permits easier gravitational flow of the coal into the firebox. Maximum heat output is up to 48,000 BTU's per hour.
Anthracite and Bituminous Coal:
These two stoves have the capability of burning either anthracite or bituminous coal. Regardless of the type of coal in your region, long reliable burns can be achieved with these stoves. The bell-shaped hopper allows coal from pea to egg size to be burned equally well.
Easy Cleaning:
The 690 stove are easily maintained. Shaker grates and tools are provided for easy ash disposal. There are also four cleaning ports in the heat exchanger which allow for ash and creosote removal.
